Well after explaining my first computer, how it’s compatible, and how to connect it, I will now give insight to someone who is looking to purchase a home computer. I am going to explain the pros and cons of buying a home computer from a company such as Dell. First off, let’s go to Dell’s homepage, which is www.dell.com. At the top of the page, click on “Home” and then “Desktops All-in one”. For a simple home computer, I would choose an Inspiron type model, because the XPS and alien ware ones are for gaming, while the other choices are for businesses. Currently, they are selling the Dell Inspiron 570, 560, and 620. I’m going to compare the standards of these three computers, along with the prices. You can upgrade any part you want through Dell, for example if you want 8 gigs of RAM instead of 4, then you can do that and they’ll add it onto your bill. So, the 570 has a single core, AMD 2.7 Ghz processor, 2GB RAM, 500GB harddrive, integrated graphics (this means that your basically stuck with these graphics, but it’s not that bad), and of course all the models will come with Windows 7 64-bit operating system. Now, the 560 has a single core, Intel 2.2 Ghz processor, 2 GB of RAM, 500 GB of harddrive, integrated graphics, and the same operating system as the previous model explained. Basically the difference between the two models is the processor speed, and company. Intel is known for its higher quality, that’s why Dell offers a lower processing speed compared to the AMD processing card. Both of these models are exactly the same price as well.
