Compatibility with motherboards part 2

Along with compatibility with the processor and memory, you have to also make sure the graphics card, hard drive, CD drive, and mouse/keyboard are all compatible as well! So, if you pull up the motherboard page, which can be found here, and go to the Details tab, and scroll down to the Expansion Slots category, you can see how many types of slots come with the motherboard. If you pull up my graphics card page, which can be found here, and go to the Details tab, you will notice that it requires a PCI Express x 16 interface, and since that matches up with the slots in the Details tab of the motherboard, it makes it compatible. Other slots on the motherboard can support things such as wireless cards, firewire cards, and sounds cards. If you were to purchase any of these, you would have to note that interface matches up with what your motherboard supports. Back to the motherboard page, you can notice that the Storage Devices are noted as well. If you pull up the hard drive page, which can be found here, you can notice that the interface is a SATA 3gb/s, which matches with the interface of the motherboard, which allows them to be compatible. The exact same is with the CD drive, which can be found here. You’re probably wondering how to connect all of these this together, or how it will all work. Don’t worry, but that will be explained in the next few upcoming posts.
